There are two main priorities when performing as a trade show magician; the first is entertainment, the second is to engage the potential client in your product. As a simple rule Edward will draw people in to your stand with what he thinks of as an energetic hook. A simple, fast routine that will make people want to see more. This can involve him standing behind a podium and calling people over or going out amongst the crowds and engaging people directly. Once he has a small crowd he will move into the main performance (whilst still attracting further people to join). Whilst he likes to keep things very light-hearted and avoid any heavy selling he will always create a routine that will promote your company and brand and get your message across to your customers.
Throughout a routine Edward will create opportunities to take people’s business cards or to scan people to help generate leads. One of Edward’s most popular acts when performing as a trade show magician is to perform a short stage show, often about 10 minutes long. This is always a nice way to end a performance, generates a big round of applause which will make people notice your stand, and gives a very organic moment for your staff to move in and discuss your product.
