When hiring an magician for your wedding you need to ensure they are both experienced and professional. It’s very easy to set up a website claiming expertise but it makes it very difficult to judge who would be the best performer for your wedding. Edward is very fortunate to have a number of high profile venues use him as their sole magician for weddings. In 2017 Edward was awarded the Lux wedding magazine best magic act for the year, in 2018 was awarded the Global Wedding Awards Best Wedding Guest Entertainer the Best Wedding Magician for 2019 and has recently been awarded the SME UK Enterprise Awards Best Wedding Magician for 2020. Wedding Magician – Drinks Reception

The most popular period for a magician to perform at a wedding is during the drinks reception, as people arrive after the ceremony and whilst photos are being taken. During this time a lot of people who aren’t involved in the photos will be standing around for an hour or two and close up magic is the perfect way to keep them entertained and help bring together people who may not have met before. The only problem during this period is that the bride and groom are often rushing around, having pictures taken and greeting guests. Edward will always ensure he finds a quiet moment to perform something special for them both even if it means staying a little later.

Wedding Magician – Wedding Breakfast

A performance of table magic during the wedding breakfast is another really popular choice, this can be combined with the drinks reception. During this period Edward will perform a private show at each table, ensuring everyone at the table is involved in stunning feats of mind reading and contemporary magic. Of course a special routine will be performed for the Bride and Groom and this can be a piece form Edward’s cabaret show for all the guests to watch, something they will never forget. For smaller more intimate weddings Edward has a dinner show for this period. This is basically Edward’s stage show performed on a much smaller scale. Edward will perform for all the guests at once, usually between the courses of the meal involving all the audience members in the show. Wedding Magician – Evening Reception

The final popular period for a wedding magician is at the start of the evening reception, after the breakfast as the evening guests arrive. Once again close up magic is the ideal performance for this time as it keeps things casual and it is a fantastic way to greet your evening guests. This can though be quite a busy period for a wedding with dancing, cake cutting and general merriment so do please check with Edward for further advice about performing during this time. Ultimately Edward can perform during any and all of the periods of your wedding. He always likes to have a chat on the phone with you before deciding anything so you can agree on the perfect entertainment for your wedding and ensure you and your guests will have the perfect day.
