Norfolk Magician – Welcome to the website of Edward Crawford; Norfolk magician and Mind reader. Edward has been performing as a full time professional for the past 15 years (and much of his life prior to that was spent studying the art of mind manipulation and illusion). Each year he performs at up to 200 events including corporate events for some of the worlds largest multinationals, private parties and weddings. His unique style of magic is designed to leave even the most cynical with a sense of wonder. Thanks to repeat clients and recommendations from those who have seen Edward perform in the past he is now one of the most successful magicians in the UK. If though you have come across Edward by a random internet search please check out Edward’s reviews HERE and on Facebook HERE. If you’re after a Norfolk magician Edward will be the perfect addition to your event, prepare to be astonished!
Edward’s style of magic is a lot more than card tricks. He performs a genre of magic known as mentalism, best described as magic of the mind, or even Jedi mind tricks! This is the closest thing to real magic you will ever witness. In a typical show Edward will read thoughts that would be impossible for him to know, control the future, influence the present and at times he will demonstrate telekinesis (moving objects with his mind). No camera trickery or stooges, like you might, rightfully, suspect when you see a TV magician. All this and more will happen directly in front of you.
Edward has a number of different styles of performance to suit every event. Close up magic or table magic is ideal for drinks parties, dinners, weddings and all formal and informal parties. Edward’s cabaret show is particularly popular with corporate events and where you’re after the theatrics of a stage show but don’t have the space Edward has his parlour show; your very own stage show designed to be performed in smaller venues for smaller groups. More details about these performance styles can be found HERE. Edward will tailor his performance to suit your event, guaranteeing a unique show every time.

Best show I have ever seen or indeed booked. Edward performed at our work Christmas celebration event. It was a fantastic evening and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it… people have been talking about it for days and days following the event.

We had Edward perform at a private function last night for friends and family, I must say, just wow. I have had a chance to see mind reading and magic tricks in various bars and parties i have been to over the years and it is often hit and miss. With Edward however this was not the case and he managed to pull off and perform every trick, illusion and mind blowing performance with awe inspiring results and a coif, sophisticated and professional style. Thank you again Edward and anybody who is looking for entertainment and that something different that will leave guests talking of such a great night and/or event for decades to come, look no further!
Just wanted to drop you a line to say how brilliant you were last night at our Christmas Party. You still have all the staff here at AIB International trying to work out how you managed to do what you did. I have been to many shows of this nature, but you have to be by far the ‘Most entertaining and skilled performer’, and that was the whole teams opinion. You were simply mesmerising all through the evening, not and bored person in the room, Worth every penny for the fantastic work you did. We will definitely be asking you to perform again for us soon !!!

On Sunday afternoon I found myself in a particularly beautiful part of Norfolk performing at a private event on the Blickling Estate near Aylsham. The event was for a 60th birthday for a group of 25 people. They had hired a private dining room and I performed throughout the meal. Events like this are always a real favourite for me to perform at as it gives me a chance to get to know people and gives me a chance to perform some of my favourite routines. The group were seated at 6 tables. Throughout the afternoon I performed at each table in turn, showing each group a 15 minute routine. This is longer than I would normally perform at tables but as it was a small group it gave me the time to perform some of the longer effects I don’t always get the chance to try out. As always at events of this nature I stop performing as food is served. At the end of the event I performed a piece from my cabaret show for the birthday girl and her husband for everyone to watch. I always find this is really strong, memorable way to end a performance.
Here’s what a client had to say in an email sent the next day:
“I just need to say a huge thank you for entertaining my guests at the Bucks today. You certainly were the talk of the town and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I’m still wondering how you touched us without touching us remarkable, what a talent.”
It was a really fun afternoon with a lovely group of people. I hope to be back in the area again soon so I can have a proper look around a beautiful part of the country. If you’re after a Norfolk magician for your event please get in touch for more details.
On Saturday afternoon I was back in Norfolk, one of my favourite places in the UK. This time I was at Hockwold Hall in the village of Hockwold Cum Wilton. A really beautiful venue with stunning gardens. Despite being the middle of July the weather was somewhat cold and looking like rain (thankfully the rain held off and the sun started to emerge by the end of the afternoon). I performed during the drinks reception as the guests arrived from the church, always my preferred time for a performance. As a rule I always like to give the guests 5 minutes to get in the door, get drinks in hand and greet one another before I start performing. As soon as everyone was in the hall I started mixing and mingling with the guests, making my way around all the groups performing a ten minute routine for everyone. This time is particularly good for a performance as some of the guests were taken away for photos and for those left they were often just standing around with little to do for an hour, so I was there to keep them entertained. One issue can be the fact that the bride and groom are often away for all the photos so I made sure to stay a little later to perform a special routine for them both. As ever with weddings things weren’t running on time so I ended up staying an hour late which is generally not a problem unless I have another booking to get to immediately after. I finished performing as everyone headed off to the wedding breakfast, was very pleased to get another booking form the wedding for later in August so I will be seeing many of the guests again, thankfully I have a big enough repertoire to ensure a completely different show next time. It was a lovely wedding with a really nice, friendly group of people who it was an absolute pleasure performing for.
