Edward performs a very unique and specialised style of magic commonly known as mentalism. This is best described as magic of the mind or psychological illusion. In a typical performance he may ask you to think of an old friend and then he will describe the person before telling you the name or maybe ask you to draw a picture which he will duplicate. Close up Magician Eastbourne
Last night I was booked by the Lawn Tennis Association to perform for the players and coaches participating in the Aegon International in Eastbourne. These are the top female international players in the UK to participate the following week at Wimbledon.
The event was a casual dinner and drink party at Pomodoro e Mozzarella Restaurant. The client asked me to perform at the tables as the guests ate and drank. The fact that English was not the first language of the majority of the guests meant I decided to perform some slightly more visual routines throughout the evening. In regards to mind reading, instead of trying to read words and thoughts I went for images and pictures. In simplest terms, I might ask someone to draw a picture whilst I went in to the other room. On my return I attempted to duplicate their drawing, stars seemed to be particularly popular with tennis players! I also performed metal bending which is something I rarely do as it can be quite exhausting. The restaurant weren’t too keen on having their cutlery bent so I stuck to coins, borrowed off the guests and keys, ensuring they wouldn’t be needing them.
It was a really fun evening with some really interesting people. I look forward to seeing them all at the next event. A big thank you to the Lawn Tennis association for the booking. Here’s what they had to say:
